At MAG, we have extensive experience in the energy sector, where we extract, refine, store, and transport crude oil to our customers in local and international markets with the highest safety and quality standards. A barrel of crude oil, equivalent to about 42 gallons (159 liters), is the primary source of numerous products we use daily. After refining, oil is separated into main derivatives such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, fuel oil, liquid gases, asphalt, and lubricating oils, in addition to other products used in important industries such as plastics, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. These derivatives make oil an essential element in operating transportation, generating energy, and supporting vital industries around the world.

The crude oil and its derivatives sector is one of the most important activities of MAG Investment Company, as the company works on processing and refining crude oil in several African countries that possess rich natural resources, such as Chad, South Sudan, Ghana, and Uganda. Operations of distillation and refining are carried out within the plants and refineries established by the company in collaboration with these countries, aiming to transform crude oil into multiple petroleum products that meet the needs of the local and regional markets. The company owns a range of advanced storage facilities for petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and bitumen, ensuring the fulfillment of local market needs and the export of the surplus to foreign markets. In the stage of trading and transportation, MAG Investment relies on modern pipeline networks that link storage areas to receiving and delivery ports in Egypt and several African countries, achieving high efficiency and speed in distribution and export operations.
